_In 2017 I was hired as an Assistant Designer for J.Crew’s Men’s Suiting, Topcoats and Wallace & Barnes program.
I was tasked with helping refine the best-selling suiting Program. Modernizing the silhouettes to better meet the needs of a changing demographic, emphasizing a strong aesthetic identity while retaining and expanding on their already excellent fabric program.
For the newly created ‘Destination’ program, we focused on highly functional design and new fabric innovations. Introducing water repellent quick dry fabrics and trim, packable suiting, and patterns that emphasized movement - all innovations that have since been absorbed into J.Crew’s design thinking.
